The Tabley House textile and costume collection brings together garments, accessories, and dress connected to the Leicester family and their wider circle, reflecting a long-standing love of fashion and all things fabulous.
This talk with Alison Larkin, co-author with Jennie Batchelor, of Jane Austen Embroidery: Authentic embroidery projects for modern stitchers (2020) explores some of the most striking and intriguing pieces, offering insight into style, identity, and social life at Tabley over several centuries
