HISTORY | Collection Spotlight: Brooches, Lockets and Things Kept in Pockets – Talk

Small treasures, hidden stories.
The Tabley House Collection includes a fascinating array of small treasures—rings, seals, buckles, brooches, lockets, and other items once carried close at hand.
As part of a recent project to document and care for the collection, volunteers have researched some of their favourite pieces. Their discoveries offer fresh insights into the hidden histories of these intriguing treasures.
Anna Bates Patel (Tabley House Collection) presents a selection of these items from the collection, revealing the stories they hold about personal style, sentiment, and everyday life at Tabley.
