Christmas Lantern Making Workshop & Parade 2026

Get ready for a magical start to Christmas in Knutsford!

As part of Knutsford’s Christmas Light Switch-On celebrations on Saturday 21st November, children are invited to join our FREE lantern-making workshop and create their very own lantern to carry in Santa’s Christmas Lantern Parade later that evening.

The Light Switch-On will bring a full afternoon of festive entertainment to the town centre, building up to the arrival of Santa, the Lantern Parade and the switching on of Knutsford’s Christmas lights.

Children taking part in the workshop can get creative and make their lantern during the day before returning to Knutsford Train Station Car Park at 5.30pm with their finished creation to take part in the parade through the town centre.

Come along, get creative and help us light up Knutsford as we officially begin the countdown to Christmas!

There are 2 sessions , the event is free but booking is essential
