This talk uncovers the extraordinary personal histories of Tabley’s landowner Eleanor, Lady Leighton Warren (1841 – 1914), ambassadress and fashion designer Princess Olga (1863—1947), wife of Sir Edwin Egerton and Arley’s Anglican nun and Mother Superior Katherine Egerton Warburton (1840 – 1923). This talk reveals how each shaped—and was shaped by—the estates and families to which they belonged.
