HISTORY | Catherine Warr, Mark Beltane, and Duncan Parsons At Knutsford Little Theatre

8 November 2025 - 19:30 - 22:00
£12

We’re delighted to be welcoming three distinct acts new to Knutsford Little Theatre – YouTube historian and songwriter Catherine Warr, inspiring folk artist Mark Beltane, and singer/songwriter Duncan Parsons, each of them carrying with them songs bursting with heart, humanity, history, and humour.

Known and respected in their home cities of Leeds and Sheffield, this will be a great evening’s entertainment as the Autumn matures and we look toward Christmas..

Catherine Warr
A young historian and filmmaker from Leeds, Catherine’s unique approach to historical storytelling brings together costumes, elaborate sets, music, and in-depth research to make history interesting and accessible to everyone.

Her YouTube channel is filled with engaging tales from history, whether pirates, The Titanic, Vikings, the film industry, surfing in Britain – anything that has caught her eye. This evening she will be transforming elements of her documentary storytelling for the live arena, sometimes described as “Horrible Histories for grown ups”

Mark Beltane
Mark Beltane is a Sheffield based singer and guitarist combining gentle nature-inspired lyricism with fingerstyle folk guitar. His debut album ‘Sometimes Turning’, recorded with legendary producer Ian Caple, was released in 2025.

His music will appeal to fans of 60s and 70s players like Bert Jansch, Nick Drake, and Sandy Denny along with more contemporary voices like Josephine Foster and Devendra Banhart.

“..a slightly more assertive Nick Drake.. ..sounds like something beamed in from an earlier, more innocent musical era.” Prog Magazine on album “I’m Here, All Weak”
