DESCRIPTION:Crosstown Community Orchard will be toasting the new year with the ancient mid-winter custom of a Wassail! \nThe ceremony is traditionally performed in orchards to scare away evil spirits to ensure a good harvest for the year ahead and the Crosstown Community Orchard has held a Wassail each year since it was established in 2021. \nThe event is free\, with donations accepted/encouraged to support the charity’s work in maintaining the orchard. \nThe Wassail includes traditional live dance\, music and performance\, toasting of a Wassail tree and plenty of mulled cider to keep warm!
